Pre + Post injection tips for success: We recommend that you come to your injection appointment on a full stomach. Please note we do not recommend physical activity after your injections. To help avoid bruising you can limit consumption of Advil®, green tea, omega 3’s, and alcohol as these will thin the blood and contribute to bruising. If you receive Botox® / Dysport® ensure you remain in a upright position for 4 hours post injection, and do not wear constricting accessories such as hats or headbands. Do not massage the injection site post treatment.

What is Botox® / Dysport® and what is the difference between the two?

Botox® / Dysport® are natural, purified proteins that are used to temporarily relax facial muscles that cause lines and wrinkles. Essentially, they are two different brands but the product itself are very similar in formulation.

Is there any downtime after injections?

While there is no real downtime associated with this treatment, it is important to note that you may encounter some slight bruising and swelling directly after treatment. This can easily be masked by makeup. There are also things you can do to help prevent bruising such as avoiding products / foods that thin the blood. (Omega 3's, green tea, alcohol, Advil, Aspirin, Ibuprofen.)

Do I need a consultation?

For Botox® / Dysport® and Fillers you are welcome to book in for a complimentary consultation to chat with our nurse injectors. When you book your appointment, you will receive intake forms via email that need to be completed before you arrive. Our Doctor will review your forms and contact you in the event of any questions or concerns. You can choose to go ahead with the injections during your consultation or book in for another day!

How long do injectables last?

Typically Botox® / Dysport® will typically last between 3 - 4 months, Filler will last between 8 months - 1 year for a full vial, and up to 6 months for a half vial depending on the person and the rate of their metabolism.

Do I need Filler or Botox® / Dysport®?

It depends on your personal preference and the areas you wish to target. For example: If fine lines on the forehead or around the eyes are your main concern, Botox / Dysport treatment would be best for you. If it is lines around the mouth or hollowness in the face that you wish to treat, fillers would be recommended.

How old do you have to be to receive injections?

We do require all patients to be at least 18 years of age to receive injections.
